Surrey police investigating after pedestrian allegedly hit by car

The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says it is investigating a report of a pedestrian being hit by a car.

Police say they were called to the area of Nico Wynd Drive and Crescent Road around 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

“[BC Emergency Health Services (EHS)] attended, and while the pedestrian initially declined any treatment, as they said they weren’t injured, the pedestrian was later taken to hospital for assessment,” SPS told CityNews.

“EHS could not find any injuries, but the pedestrian did allegedly swing their arm and strike the vehicle, damaging it.”

Police say everyone in the incident has been identified, and officers have spoken to witnesses.

Anyone with more information or video footage is asked to call the SPS.

This is a developing story.
