The man accused of killing 11 people in a vehicle-ramming attack at the Lapu Lapu Day festival in Vancouver has pleaded not guilty to all 42 charges he faces.
Damienne Darby, communications council with the BC Prosecution Service, says Adam Kai-Ji Lo has pleaded not guilty to 11 counts of second-degree murder and 31 counts of attempted murder in the attack in April 2025.
She says Lo entered the pleas in a court appearance Monday by video conference.
Lo has elected against facing a jury in favour of a judge-only trial set to start in B.C. Supreme Court on April 19, 2027.
Lo’s case was moved to B.C. Supreme Court earlier this year after previously being handled in provincial court, where a judge ruled he was fit to stand trial after hearing from two forensic psychiatrists.
A publication ban has been imposed on details of the pretrial process.
