A 22-year-old man is in hospital in critical condition after a shooting Monday night in the Surrey Central area, police say.
The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says it received reports of shots fired in the area of Snowdon Place and 90 Avenue shortly before 9:45 p.m.
“At this location, officers found evidence of a shooting and signs of injury, but no suspects or victim were on scene,” police said.
“Other SPS Frontline members attended the hospital and located a male suffering from a gunshot wound.”
Police say there is no indication the shooting was related to extortion.
Anyone with information or video is asked to call SPS non-emergency at 604-599-0502 and refer to file number 26-119173 (SP).
