U.S. News & World Report released its annual roundup of best hotels and resorts around the globe. The publication compiled the rankings from “hotel star ratings combined with the collective opinion of travel experts and customers” of more than 35,000 hotels around the world.

“Travellers are seeking unique and memorable experiences, cultural authenticity, savoury cuisine, comfortable yet lavish accommodations, excellent amenities — and so much more,” says Zach Watson, senior travel editor at U.S. News.

The publisher also released its list of 2025 Best Hotels in Canada. While B.C. lost the No. 1 spot to the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, Vancouver’s Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel did come in at a very respectable No. 2.
