The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says it is investigating a shots-fired incident in the City Centre neighbourhood early Tuesday morning.
Officers were called to the area of Central Avenue and 133 Street shortly after 2 a.m., where they found a parked vehicle damaged by gunfire.
The vehicle was unoccupied, the SPS says.
Police say they believe the incident was targeted but not related to extortion.
The motive is under investigation.
Officers will remain in the area collecting evidence Tuesday, the SPS says.
Anyone with information or video footage is asked to call the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and refer to file 26-61609 (SP).
