An assault that occurred around 11 p.m. Saturday is now being investigated by Penticton RCMP.

Police say they were called to Queens Park Elementary for a report of an assault.

A total of two people were taken to hospital, one being a youth, say police.

RCMP state that the investigation is in the early stages, but it appears to be an isolated incident with no public safety concerns.

Police are now seeking witnesses or video footage from the incident to contact them.
