U.S. Minority Chamber of Commerce Launches the “Matchmaking Program by the Chamber”

A Strategic Business Travel Platform Designed to Connect Leaders, Investors, Buyers, and Suppliers Across the Americas

USMC Matchmaking Program

Washington, D.C. | August 18, 2026, The United States Minority Chamber of Commerce continues to expand its services and opportunities for members and strategic partners with the launch of its Matchmaking Program by the Chamber, an initiative designed to transform the way entrepreneurs, investors, professionals, and delegations conduct business travel and specialized missions throughout the United States, the Caribbean, and Latin America.

The philosophy behind the program is simple:

“On your business or humanitarian travels, don’t waste time or resources searching for opportunities. Use the Chamber.”

The Matchmaking Program by the Chamber is designed to prepare and connect participants with a previously identified business ecosystem based on their specific objectives in business, investment, trade, consulting, human development, or international cooperation.

“We are moving forward with our Matchmaking Program by identifying emerging destinations that buy, sell, invest, and, at the same time, have an enormous need for consultants, planners, analysts, and specialized professionals. This is not limited to artificial intelligence; it also includes the creation of new tools that can help modernize, train, and globally prepare thousands of talented entrepreneurs throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. We want to share with these communities the spirit of advanced business education that characterizes the American business community.”

Doug Mayorga

President & CEO

United States Minority Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber’s vision has always been to build an organization capable of bringing together ideas, connecting people with good intentions, and bringing leaders together who are willing to contribute to the economic and human development of the region.

Our Mission from Washington, D.C.

From Washington, D.C., the U.S. Minority Chamber of Commerce operates with a clear mission: to serve as a strategic bridge that helps ensure the success of every business visit while supporting the expansion of American minority-owned businesses and international entrepreneurs in the United States and throughout the Americas. The Matchmaking Program is designed to ensure that a business mission does not end simply with a visit, a conference, or an exchange of business cards.

The objective is to arrive with a structured agenda, qualified contacts, and clearly defined goals.

What Does the Matchmaking Program by the Chamber Offer?

  1. Comprehensive Visit Preparation

Depending on the participant’s needs, the Chamber can coordinate:

Pre-travel preparation.

Destination orientation.

Airfare and hotel coordination.

Local transportation.

Business agenda development.

Identification of potential clients and strategic partners.

Business visits and destination tours.

Meetings and activities aligned with the objectives of the mission.

  1. Logistics & Connectivity

Through its commercial relationships and bilateral cooperation initiatives, the Chamber develops reciprocal agreements and collaborative relationships with ground, air, and maritime transportation companies, helping facilitate the mobility of business leaders and international delegations.

  1. The Signature Program: Business Matchmaking

The core of the program is the coordination of targeted business meetings with previously identified profiles, including:

Investors

Donors

Financial institutions and financiers

Buyers

Importers

Distributors

Suppliers

Consultants

Technology companies

Strategic partners

Meetings are structured according to the participant’s industry, product, project, target market, and specific business objectives.

  1. Emerging Destinations & New Markets

The Chamber is progressively expanding the program toward destinations throughout the Caribbean and Latin America where opportunities exist in trade, investment, infrastructure, tourism, technology, housing, professional services, and economic development.

The objective is to help members identify where the opportunities are and who they should be speaking with before investing valuable time and resources in a new market.

A New Way of Doing Business

Today’s global business environment requires more than simply traveling.  It requires preparation, information, relationships, strategy, and execution.

An entrepreneur who arrives in a new country without an established agenda may lose valuable time and resources. An entrepreneur who arrives prepared—with meetings coordinated in advance and knowledge of the local market—begins the mission with a strategic advantage.

That is precisely the purpose of the Matchmaking Program by the Chamber.

The Chamber does not seek to replace the entrepreneur.

We prepare you. We connect you. We accompany you.

This initiative is part of the broader vision of the United States Minority Chamber of Commerce to create new commercial bridges between the United States, the Caribbean, and Latin America, with a particular focus on strengthening small and medium-sized businesses, minority entrepreneurs, professionals, and international leaders.
