Fashion frenzy: Aritzia’s annual warehouse sale has begun

Every year it draws hundreds out of bed to wait in the dark, and this year is no different.

Before sunrise Tuesday, a massive line was visible snaking around the waterfront at Vancouver’s Canada Place.

The reason? Aritzia’s annual warehouse sale, with crowds chasing discounts of up to 90 per cent.

Some shoppers waited overnight for the chance to grab deals on their favourite clothing.

“We did shift work,” said Atria, who said she hoped to score deals on hoodies and a puffer vest. “Two of our friends showed up at 2:30 p.m. [Monday] until 10 p.m., and then me and my friend, we came at 10 p.m.”

Another shopper, Teju, started waiting at 4 p.m. Monday.

“I knew there was going to be a big line, so I came here extra early,” Teju said.

Aritzia’s warehouse sale runs through Monday at Canada Place.
