Surrey Police Service spokesman Ian MacDonald said first responders were called to 75th Avenue and 124th Street in Newton at about 10:15 p.m. Saturday.
Investigators have determined that a Maserati travelling at a high speed hit a Honda Odyssey van before slamming into three parked vehicles, said MacDonald in an update Sunday morning.

MacDonald said two men, aged 29 and 28, were standing between two of the parked cars that were hit by the Maserati.
The 29-year-old man was crushed between the two vehicles, and the Surrey Fire Service gave “life-saving care” to the man by the time officers arrived, said MacDonald. The victim was taken to hospital and is in critical but stable condition.
The 28-year-old was thrown to the ground at impact and was less seriously injured, but he was also taken to hospital.
The occupants of the Maserati sedan fled on foot immediately. MacDonald said investigators are not releasing specifics but confirmed “more than one” person was likely in the car.
Police tried to track down the vehicle and, a few minutes later, it was seen headed north on King George Boulevard, driving erratically and crossing into oncoming traffic near 64th Avenue.
Surrey Police Service officers managed to make a traffic stop and arrested the driver, who was the only occupant of the pickup.
There was some vehicle damage but no officers, other drivers or the suspect were injured.
Vancouver police use beanbag shotgun to arrest suspect in Kitsilano
A 31-year-old man was arrested in Kitsilano on Sunday after allegedly going into backyards along the Arbutus corridor while carrying gardening shears.
According to a police statement, officers were called to the scene at around noon with reports the man was also threatening people.
“Police located the suspect in a lane near Arbutus and West 11th, however, the suspect fled into a compound behind a business and attempted to barricade himself,” the statement read.
“After the suspect failed to surrender, a police dog was deployed into the compound and located the suspect at the bottom of a dumpster. He was still armed with the gardening sheers and was hiding under several layers of garbage.
