4 injured after fight on party bus, Surrey police say

The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says four people were injured following a fight on a party bus.

Officers were called to the area of Highway 1 eastbound near the 192nd Street exit shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday following a 911 call from the driver of the bus.

“The driver reported that several people on the bus were fighting,” Staff Sgt. Lindsey Houghton.

“At the same time, another 911 call was received from a passenger on the bus advising that several people had been stabbed and that the suspect had fled the scene on foot.”

Two people were sent to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Two others were treated on the scene for minor injuries.

Police were unable to locate the suspect after an extensive search of the area.

He is described as being in his 20s, “approximately 6′ tall and 150 lbs, having dirty short blonde hair, and wearing a white shirt with lemons on it and possibly grey pants,” the SPS said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the SPS at 604-599-0502 and refer to file 25-66269(SU).
