One person is in hospital after a shooting in Aldergrove Monday night, the Langley RCMP says.

Police say it happened near 269 Street and 26A Avenue shortly before 7:30 pm.

Mounties say officers located the suspect’s vehicle a short distance away, and a suspect is now in custody. The victim is in stable condition.

Police have not said whether the shooting was related to extortion or gangs.
