The crash, involving a semi-truck and two passenger vehicles on the east end of the bridge, happened just after 10 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14.
“Surrey Fire and BCEHS administered life-saving measures to three occupants at the scene, but sadly, they were declared deceased,” Staff Sgt. Lindsey Houghton said at the time.
In its update on Friday, the SPS says the investigation is currently being done by its Criminal Collision Investigation Team.
“This is a very complex and high consequence investigation that will require time to compile information to present to the Crown,” the SPS said.
“Surrey Police Service would like to acknowledge the excellent and diligent work of CCIT and SPS members and would like to thank the public for their assistance.”
The SPS says more information will be released “when appropriate.”
