Princeton police looking for suspects in Tulameen break-in and Princeton theft

The Princeton RCMP are looking to identify two people who are allegedly connected to both a break-and-enter in Tulameen and a stolen vehicle in Princeton.

The first incident happened on July 2 when police received a report of a break-and-enter on a cabin on Coalmont Road in Tulameen.

The owner of the cabin told RCMP that his cabin had been entered multiple times while he was away.

Tools, gas and other items were stolen from the cabin.

CCTV footage taken on July 1 shows two unnkown individuals on the property.

Police also believe that a dark-coloured Mazda 3 sedan seen in the CCTV footage is linked to several property crimes in the Princeton area.

The RCMP are also looking for what they call a “distinctive” pick-up truck that was stolen in Princeton.

The truck, a dark grey 2002 Dodge Ram 2500, has a lifted suspension and large, oversized tires. It has a B.C. license plate, reading XK7991.

It was stolen on July 3 from a secured business lot on Highway 5A in Princeton.

The truck can be seen on CCTV being driven out of the yard with a small dark-coloured car behind it.

Police say they believe the small car is the same Mazda 3 seen at the cabin that was broken into.

With the belief that the two incidents are connected, the RCMP state they think the suspects may now be travelling in the stolen truck.

“We are aware of the significant public interest surrounding these incidents and ask residents not to approach or confront anyone they believe may be involved,” said Cpl. Brett Urano, RCMP spokesperson. “If you recognize these individuals or observe the stolen vehicle, please contact police and allow investigators to follow up safely.”
