The Coquitlam RCMP says it is investigating a targeted shooting over the weekend, and it is asking members of the public to review dash camera footage from the area.

Police are looking for video from any vehicles that were travelling or parked in the 100 block of Schoolhouse Street between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Aug. 29.

“Even footage that may appear uneventful or unrelated could contain information that is valuable to the investigation,” Mounties said in a news release.

Police say there is no ongoing risk to the public, and the motive is under investigation.

Anyone with dash cam video from Aug. 29 between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. is asked to call the Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550 and refer to file 2026-22634.
